Ruger No. 3 .375 Winchester

I put a 50mm Nikon on my #1 and it just looks wrong. Will figure out something one day. 280 international (was a 7x57 originally).

Was thinking some sort of Leupold firedot 33 or 40mm

.280 Improved? I’m not familiar with .280 International.

That’s my favorite model of No. 1, and the .280 is one of my favorite calibers.

I’m looking at having an elk rifle built, and .280 Ackley Improved is one of the 5 or so calibers that I’m considering.

I’ve always wanted an AI but with a couple of 280’s didn’t want to convert all of them (or have different brass/dies). Same with 22 Hornet to K-hornets.

That’s definitely a consideration.

One of the other calibers I’m considering is .338-06AI.

We have a PM string from back in October where I said I'd buy it from you if you could drop it off at TruPrep. You agreed, but I hadn't heard any further. I'm still game if you are.

Well, you know how I feel about these rifles. Glad you finally got your hands on one. Great scope choice as well. Send us some pics of the deer.
On a side note, I had no idea, but there are some states like MS that allow straight wall, single shot rifles over .35 caliber to be used during primitive weapons season. I wish Ga would do something like this because I would out looking for another Ruger.
