Ruger Precision Rimfire Rifle

Great range report! Although is it me, but did you expect better results all things considered? I know .22's are very ammo picky.

Did you shoot un-suppressed?

Thanks!

Yeah I wasn't too impressed but that may be my doing as the rifle had a 3x9 scope that the small dot target was difficult for me to see clearly. The lead sled was loose and wobbled some without any weight used. I should have brought another tack driver to compare groups to see if it was just me.

I have some .22's that despise bulk pack Winchester 36grain HP- 3 1/2 groups at 50 yards.

CCI seems to be consistent from batch to batch and has a lot more paraffin lube on the bullet.

The subs were all suppressed and one group of CCI HV through the suppressor just to see.

Great range report. It seems to like that CCI standard velocity.

I'm surprised you had a problem with the factory 10 round mag though. I've been shooting 10/22s for almost 40 years now and never had one hang up on me.

It's still in the ammo can. I'm going to grab some calipers and measure it. I suspect it has a bit too much plastic on the body as it seized in the magwell nearly halting testing.

May I ask where you found your RPR? I keep going back and forth in my head between one of these and ponying up for another Anschutz.

I pre-ordered it. https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/ruger-precision-rimfire-rifle.1581026/

I was going back and forth and pretty much sold on picking up a CZ .22 LR and going that route but the Ruger has the threaded barrel, adjustable trigger/stock and a stock that won't swell or shrink with humidity or weather changes. I personally think it looks handsome and business like.

I do love blued steel and wood though.

I've been an Anschutz fan for years and they now offer models with threaded barrels, but you run into the law of negative returns. I don't plan on shooting benchrest anymore but do want to focus on NRL22. These won't be out past 100 yards either.

Oh, and I just got an email that KYGunCo has some in stock so I snapped one up.
