I plan to buy one of these in 6.5 CM. Would you rec a different caliber for long distance learning, training, shooting. I have a nice set up in .308 already.

We really need to meet up and shoot. You can shoot my 6.5 and make your own decision. But in short, 6.5 is superior for long range target.

Nothing wrong with 6.5. It’ll do everything the .308 does, but easier. Only downside is a shorter barrel life.

I was strongly contemplating a .22LR precision and was looking at the CZ offerings off and on but this may be the rifle...

I love the path Ruger has evolved down.

Just wait, you will probably see a heavy barrell 10-22 in that stock from Ruger also.
