Rural Georgia police state?

Whaddya suggest?

We all need to start local and band together. The sheriff of your County holds the power. He can stop all this crap. It's been done before. This country was founded by a minority who fought for what was right. It's about time to do it again. We can do it peacefully through elections. But we can't vote in the suggested puppet. We need to get some grass roots leaders elected and change from within. Or its going to eventually get ugly

OK, first off, LEO NEVER do anything wrong and the mere suggestion that one might instantly makes you a cop basher who must be a criminal, because only criminals would ever think it were possible for LEO to do anything wrong.

Was the Sheriff around, or was this just city cops?

From the letter to the editor: What makes it worse is that a Monticello officer that has known me for years did and said nothing despite the fact that the allegations of pot use are laughable seeing as how I have lost 70 pounds in half a year which would be nearly impossible to do with additional cravings for food brought on by pot ‘munchies’. Only after the other two officers walked away, did he apologize for the way they treated me, but why would he let them do that to me in the first place? Was he intimidated by them too?

I try to stay out of these law enforcement debates, but unfortunately it is impossible to look at what is happening in our country and continue to ignore this. As the federal government continues to assume more control so will the state and local governments.

And the above bolded is the saddest part. I always hear the defense that it is only a few bad apples, but bad apples have a unique ability to completely control and direct a mob mentality. At that point there is simply no stopping it.

Why did the LEO's have a meeting? <-- a directors rehearsal It comes from the top LEO's <--directors. To discuss what they were going to do and exactly how they were going to do it. Then they went out and did their performance as rehearsed. As another member stated we are all guilty until proven innocent in today's Murica. It's a damn shame.

What's sad is that in the small town I live in I know of several places I can go park my truck and watch drug deals go down all day long. The cops are well aware of it too. Problem is if they arrest a jobless dope dealer he's going to get a public defender and be a drain on the system. However if you can find a little weed on the blue collar guy it's a $1500 fine, DUI $chool, 12 month$ probation, $ub$tance abuse workbook, and licence rein$tatement fee.
