I saw 2 crazy acting bucks this past weekend in S central Ga. Anybody else seeing anything interesting?

Saw two 4 points sparring last (Oct 27) Sunday morning in Marion Co. Walked right up on them around 9am in an old food plot that sits on both sides of a logging road. I was walking and spotted them in mid-fight. They were only sparring but they were playing rough. One of them did a complete roll over in the dirt. I sat down in the road and watched them for about 10 minutes. Very cool. Bucks are chasing right now but I'm inclined to believe it is about to bust wide open from this coming weekend through Thanksgiving.

The 11 pointer I shot this weekend didn't seem like it. But there were abunch a the processor the were pretty swole up and chasing I heard. This week should be the one though. I hunt in talliferro.

I saw a mature doe this morning, she had a young doe and a young buck travelling with her. The young deer were in front, the old doe was about 5 yards behind them acting odd. The younger ones were as calm as could be, the older one seemed on edge and was holding her tail straight out. None of them ever saw me, never got close to the trail I walked in on and the wind was in my favor.

I've always heard that when a doe hold its tail like that, she's in or about to go into heat. I hope its true.

Pre rut here. I have buck on camera dogging doe. And the big boy I shot last week had the foot long gash on his spine from sparring, and his hocks were black and smelling. I smelled him in the dark before I saw him.

Dont know who else is in Upson county. I have one fairly nice buck on cam and his neck is starting to swell. I can see his tarsals in the pics and they are white as can be. Every deer I have on cam up to a day ago has white tarsals. Hoping it kicks in soon. I want to get this buck and every pic has him between 2 and 5 in the morning.
