I own a full length M&P. 40. Added the Apex Tactical striker/reset kit. I really like my M&P. I don't see many for sale in the classifieds. Why are there so many Shields up for sale or trade? Is there some undesirable trait to the pistol?

I've never fired one. Is it that they kick too much or something that after folks buy one and shoot it they don't want to keep it?

They are cheap in price and readily available. Soooo that means the market is saturated and we "odt " members have a buying and trading problem. :)

The Shield is a nice little carry gun. My wife carries one now. 8+1 capacity, manageable recoil, well made, accurate, and one of the best things, NOT OVER PRICED. Great gun for the money.

Im glad to hear folks her finding them accurate. I had initially heard the opposite. After carrying my 3913 for the past few weeks I may grab a Shield. When I initially bought one I fired a few rounds and couldnt see what the hype was about. I found it too close to the size of my 3913 and fewer rounds and taller than the 26 I was carrying. Now that Im reminded how much I enjoy the size of the 3913 Im reconsidering because I like the striker fired trigger of my Glock and the single stack size of the 3913. If these two had a baby it would be a shield.

I see more .40 on here than the 9mm.....not sure why.......I also haven't seen any real "deals".......many around the $450 mark......odd since you can find them on sale at a couple different Gun Shops in the $370'ish range..........I still want one, but sure won't pay $100 over retail for a LNIB.
