S&W M&P Shield why some many up for sale?

They are cheap in price and readily available. Soooo that means the market is saturated and we "odt " members have a buying and trading problem. :)

I know this is old, but just saw it on here. I agree with this. Just a trade bug that goes around. I've never owned one, but they seem to be really nice.

I used to not love it - all because of that useless safety. Now that S&W has finally pulled its head out of the sand on that one, I've found my ultra-deep concealed carry piece

I think at this point everyone has two... I remember when you could not get them; the (always cough over priced cough) gun store down the road in L'ville was wanting $590 for one! Of course they wanted $690 for a Glock 34... Anyway, my wife an I lover ours. Very accurate but like many people we were pulling left with it when we first got them. They can be very easy to over squeeze on the trigger but once you learn them you will be good to go. It is my favorite light 9mm to carry.

I think there are 2 reasons. First, There is a new shield out without the safety. Many people are switching to that. Second, I think conceal carry is, and has been for a couple years, a very hot category of guns. Many people want to try them all

I've got the Shield .40 and I love it. I started out with the M&P 9c which I liked but I prefer a .40. Picked up a .40c but found it a bit heavy, pulling my pants down, making me look like a wanna be thug. The shield is nice for the weight, not too heavy, not pulling my pants down; for it's size, can be carried as a pocket carry. Mine has the safety, I don't mind it, specially if I'm gonna pocket carry. Some say the gun's too small to be made for the .40, that it has too much flip to be accurate. I disagree, it's all about training with your weapon and learning to compensate. I still have my .40c, but my Shield is my edc.
