I bought a Fostech Origin a while back with the intention of using it as a suppressor host for my Salvo 12. I got my stamp approval but found out Fostech is not willing to sell the short barrel assembly they advertise in their manual. Apparently they have an 8 month wait list for the guns themselves so they won't sell the assembly separately or let me get on a wait list for one.

So now I am looking to see if it would even be possible to have the existing barrel cut and threaded myself and not even worry about going through them. My concern looking at the existing barrel is that they have fluted it most of the way down so I don't know if there would be enough material to do an external thread in the saiga pitch. I figured I would post here to see if anyone else had any thoughts or suggestions. I could always use an internal choke adapter from silencerco if it would be possible to have the inside threaded. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
