School me on Ultrasonic vs Tumbler for brass and baffle cleaning

Word. Steel pin or corn cob? Both aluminum and steel safe? Corn cob sure is a hell of alot cheaper.

Steel pins, but brass is better for aluminum baffles if you can find brass pins, only ever seen em once.

Agreed. Ultra sonic does a great job of removing carbon, but does nothing for carbonized lead, nor does it get brass anywhere near as clean and shiney as tumbling.

As far as cleaning baffles, the only baffles I clean are my rimfire baffles, and those get the dip. I use my ultrasonic for cleaning gun parts more than anything.

Does the dip require anything other than a sturdy bucket, vinegar and peroxide?

I bought a twelve pack of ball canning jars at Walmart for 6 bucks. I use a new jar every time I dip my baffles. Makes it easy to dispose of the lead acetate too. Jar, vinegar and peroxide and you are in business so long as your baffles are stainless.

Tumbling is way better

Thumbler Tumbler with Walnut & corncob media. The old fashioned way does well for me plus it is not nearly as noisy as the vibratoy.
