Well I compete in PRS but that is the type rig I hunt with - antelope and mule deer did not complain. Ounces = pounds and pounds = pain in Wyoming.

Id find a place to lose ounces besides my scope. There’s no substitute for mass when it comes to durability.

It’s a lightweight hunting rifle. So Leupold backcountry is an eggsellint recommendation, top of the heap. At least for starters. Assuming they make some that fit

I’ll be different and say DNZ Game Reaper. Always use it for hunting rifles cause it’s light, affordable, and I’ve never had an issue.

For hunting scopes, I always lean towards Leupold or Trijicon.
