Seller Lied on Property Disclosures

Been in real estate 18 years. In my experience, it’s been a coin flip on issues like yours. Some have gone after their inspector and been successful, most have not. I’ve searched my memory for buyers going after the seller after the closing for the disclosure and am coming up blank. Attorney is going to be the first step as stated. No one is going own up to anything if they can help it. I don’t believe inspectors are required to have E&O insurance. Best of luck resolving your issue.
