I have a stock for sale on eBay and have a guy from BC wanting to buy it. He assures me it's completely kosher but I wanted to double check before risking time/money/freedom. Does anyone know the legality of doing so? Any help would be appreciated!

Very Good advice..And make certain to not mention firearm related words at all such as in notes..oR YOU may get an unpleasant phone call and frozen account
Wait till your money is cleared and in your hands first.
If you dont and he pulls a fast one, PayPal won't help you since it's firearms related.

Be careful of what you list on export documents. What's the total value of the stock? Anything $100 or more and gun parts gets into ITAR controls, which you do not want to mess with.

Thanks for the info, guys! I think I'm going to go ahead & ship it. The stock is valued less than 100 bucks so hopefully it won't get kicked back. I'll let y'all know if anything odd happens when shipping it.

You shouldn't have a problem... I just shipped a stock to Ontario (much less gun friendly than BC) without any issues.

The key thing is to avoid any mention of firearms anywhere in the documents. That's not illegal, but it could slow things down. Since you are a private party, ITAR shouldn't apply to you anyways, but keep it under $100 to be sure.

It's really funny (if it wasn't so sad) how Canadians can ship an AR-15s to each other in Canada Post, yet they can't get a $150 barrel from the US because it requires filling out UN paperwork.

That is definitely not the case. ITAR regulations apply to all.

As mentioned, the OP should be good to go; just beware that mailing internationally does have different requirements than mailing domestically... to include what can and can't be mailed.
