Shotgun hate

One aspect not mentioned is no marking of the bullets with a shotty. There was a shooting in Greensboro some years back and one group had pistols, the other shotties. There were no charges filed against those with the shotties as there was no way to determine who fired the buckshot.

As to the shottie having limited ammo, absolutely NOT true. If you are shooting a man's shotgun (A5), you are limited only by what you have in your left pocket. Speed feed is where its at.
Any bird hunter worth a damn outta know how to hold that 4th shell in their support hand while shooting to throw in on an empty chamber. That trick has helped me limit out a few time on wood duck.

I have 410 thru 12 and 5 mec presses

So much recoil it slows down follow up shots.
Low ammunition capacity.
Extremely slow to reload.
Limited range.

Next question.
 It’s amazing that folks can get follow up shots on those little bitty clays as they fly through the air at 40 mph and hit them.

Seriously though after shooting those and dove hunting I honestly say follow up shots on man sized targets shouldn’t be that difficult.

Low ammo capacity, I guess compared to an AR yes. But 9 pellets of 00 buck at inside of 150 feet ain’t nothing to sneeze at.

I love shotguns and grew up shooting them in PA. The problem is there's not a lot of places to practice here in the suburbs. Ranges require you to shoot buck or slugs, and that's expensive.

also, I registered my 870 and it's now wearing a 12" barrel. It holds 5 rounds. My SBR WITH suppressor is the same length, and currently loaded with 31 rounds. it's lighter even wearing a dot and light, I can shoot it one handed if need be. I can't imagine needing to shoot past 25 yards (longest straight length in my house) but the rifle works well inside 3 feet and I can push it to 200+ should the need arise.

shotguns are great for lots of stuff. Rifles are better at some stuff.
