Show some love for lever guns

Picked up this 1950 Marlin 336SC in 32 special yesterday. Lyman 66 rear peep sight. Had to add a taller marbles front sight. It was shooting 10” high at 50 yards. Good looking waffle top.

That old rifle, now a carbine, is one of my most prized possessions. It used to belong to a dear friend and fellow outdoorsman who passed away on July 25, 2014. The photo started as a joke to another friend who inspired it and told me to add a Bible. I named the photo “That Which I Hold Dear.” It is a visual representation of my heritage.

The balance and handeling or these 3/4 mag levers no matter the caliber border on the magical, they almost seem alive and need to be treated as such, like with a name, plenty of petting, fed a good diet of period correct softpoints.Kept outa the rain and cold and given plenty of quality time.Im only half joking LOL!!!!Very nice rifle.
