Howa 1500 Highlander Put 5 rounds in a 5inch group messing around with shot placement at 200 yards. .308, cheap steel cased FMJ ammo. Ill get it out to the 600 yard range in a few weeks when I get some time.

I was thinking about getting into the long range scene. I have a buddy that has a remington 700p in 308 with bipod, 20 Moa base, rings and any swfa 10x42 scope. Would this be a decent setup?

Here's my precision setup. It's a Savage model 10 hs-precision in 308. Its shoots sub moa @ 100yds and I can put 5 shot group on a 8" piece of steel @ 500yds with factory 168 gold medal match ammo. Optic is a hawke sidewinder 30 6-24x56. I wasn't to sure about scope at first but it is pretty nice for the money. New add-on is the Dark Eagle Customs 10 round mag for factory dbm.
