Shower faucet help...

So I'm having an issue with the shower faucet in my bathroom. It feels like something stripped out and just wants to free-spin. I got the handle off no problem and now I'm trying to get this sucker off (image below) but the Phillips head screw won't budge. Should I try some heat or maybe an impact driver? Any tips?

Impact driver did the trick. I now know more about shower faucets than I ever thought I would. If someone ever has to replace their cartridge, the little puller tool is worth it.

Yes sir them moen cartridges can be a pain

I don't know that it would have been removable without it. Thankfully the tool is only about $20. Some silicone spray may have helped.
