I have actually done that before. I've put nitrous switches on shifters, steering wheels, proximity switches that come on automatically when you give it full throttle you name it and I've put them there. The only problem with putting one on a Full Throttle setup is you have to have a control box so it doesn't come on before 2500 RPMs. Nitrous before 2500 RPMs is no good! The system I had on my Trans Am came on at 2600 RPMs and shut off at 7,000 RPMs and I shifted it 7200. RPMs. But I had a nitrous box that controlled everything. It automatically pulled two degrees of timing per 50 horsepower so I could run full timing on N/A motor. It also automatically let the nitrous come on after 2500 and it would not let it stay engaged after 7,000. With the right control box and a wideband AFR system you can get them dialed in to where it's really safe and you don't even have to worry about it just twist the bottle on hit the arm switch and stomp the gas and the control box does everything.Arming switch for the hidden N2O set up. Even the carpet matches!
The triggering switch for the nitrous was the re-wired horn button.
I have a friend that has two trucks that would have this plus 3 on the tree. 79 F100 and a 53. He restored both. And they're both daily driversWOAW...That's impressive.
I was wrong. I thought it was a starter!
LOL.....When they moved the dimmer switch from the floor to the column, Alabama saw a huge increase in truck wrecks. Seems the drivers were getting their feet hung up in the steering wheel.
Seems like I remember seeing that before. My Dad had a truck with a push button starter on the dash of a Ford truck. Much like the ones todayI was wrong. I thought it was a starter!
