I believe my 8N had a starter switch that you stepped on

Yeah. I remember. I had at least 3 cars with them. THEN manufacturers decided to move that crap up to the steering column where it cost beaucoup more dollars to replace/fix when something went wrong with the high beams.

Some old cars had a similar looking starter switch under the clutch pedal. Had to depress the clutch all the way to engage starter.

) Right foot was for gas pedal and brake. Left foot was for the clutch (WTF is that?) and the high beam switch.... You just had to be there. :0)

I had a 73/74 road runner. 360 with a 4 speed, I could get rubber in 3 gears........
