I've just sent an email to SIG to see if they offer any type of warranty or service for an MPX PCC 9mm Competition carbine that experienced and out of battery discharge, technically referred to as a "KABOOM." As it stands, I cannot even get the bolt to unlock. It destroyed a magazine when it happened. Right now I have a $1,600 paper weight to remind me of shooting PCC in local matches.

How the heck did an MPX have an OOB detonation?? It’s got a rotating, locking bolt. You said “ cannot even get the bolt to unlock “

If it’s locked up… had to be in battery. No?

Maybe "unstuck" would be a better word. The bolt cannot have been in battery and locked if gas cutting blew the mag out of the magwell.

Here you might be able to see how the bolt split open like a flower and now it cannot rotate or be withdrawn.
