This is just my experience, when the time is right GOD WILL PUT IN YOUR PATH THAT WOMAN THAT HE HAS PLANNED FOR YOU.. you can Look high and low.. but it won’t truelly happen till HE IS READY.. but no harm in helping him out by going to a church, and just may be there waiting.. hope this inst too theological a answer .. as I’m just a redneck that knows what GOD HAS DONE FOR ME.. and I didn’t go get no skool decree.. I don’t know what you look like but I’m a tattooed up redneck, and most folks just judge by the books cover.. wish you all the luck buddy
I don’t know if he was looking for a woman at church or if was looking for a place where everything wasn’t based on married couples and a single man could plug in.
I was told many times in my single years, " to find the right person, you have to be the right person " , it works.
I’m not from that area but I too once had that hole in my soul. Nothing will fill it but Jesus Christ. I’m not trying to preach to you because I like you tried everything to fill it. Nothing works but Him. Keep looking and you will find a place where you fit in
Then I would suggest you have yet to find the right thing. Sometimes a counterfeit of the real thing, though it may resemble its representative, does a poor job filling the hole as it should. If you're interested, I'm happy to discuss via PM.

Try a church that meets in a non church building , one that rents in a old warehouse or old hardware store or at the VFW etc

Don't read too much into folks looking at you odd. Im as basic south ga clean cut cookie cutter grey man as they come and when my wife and I visited churches I felt like folks were looking at me. Its like going on vacation and eating at a local restaurant they know you aren't a regular but they are glad to have you. Yeah that is probably where Mrs. Jones normally sets or something but that is ok too. The thing is everyone there is dealing with life and feels like everyone is looking at them as well. Remember why you are there and keep going. You are there to be fed and find opportunities to get to know people out side of the regular church service. Its when you find a small group, sunday school class, or mens group that you will find out if you are where you are supposed to be. I wish you well.
