So I work in an auto shop and the other day a woman accused us of stealing a pistol she had in her truck. When droping the truck off, there was no mention of the pistol. We have several customers who do carry in their cars and either tell us and leave them in or tell us and go get them. Anyway, turns out she bought the pistol a few months ago because of a stalker, and FORGOT about the gun in the truck until a day AFTER she picked it up from us. Long story short, the stalker stole the pistol before the truck came to our shop and that only came to light after he was caught durring an armed robbery WITH THE STOLEN GUN!

So the question
She had a right to protect herself and buy a gun. But how can one make sure the owner is mindful? How do you FORGET you have a gun in the glove box? How can you regulate the airheads? Is this another question doctors need to ask? Are you sucidial? Do you have homicidal thoughts? Are you a ditz?
