This is the second thread I have started in 24 hours, all of this uproar has sparked my inquiring mind, so please bear with me.
After the last assault weapons ban, what happened to 1911's, revolvers, and bolt action rifles? I realize there was not the proliferation of companies making these items quite like there are now, but if I am going to be faced with some type of legislation pertaining to how many rounds my gun can hold; I would like to take reconciliation in the fact that not buying every cool gun I see might let me afford a Wilson Combat. Supposing a new ban would simply take care of AR and AK type rifle, high cap mags, and the like; could I still buy super nice bolt actions and 1911's?
Yes, I have read the "list from Obama", and the list of the previously banned firearms. I am more curious to know what actually happened to the availability of bolts, 1911's and revolvers. Do y'all think Kimber, Wilson, and Springfield would bring super premium prices? Were 7 and 8 round mags for these hard to find? Please enlighten me to these happenings?
