So, what trigger do you have in your AR's?

I run a 3.5 timney in every AR I own. I tried the cheaper 2 stage triggers in the beginning of my AR adventures and hated them. Went timney and haven't looked back
I have installed Timney on my hunting rifles and have not looked back, guess it is time for my ar's as well! Timney triggers in my opinion are flat out awesome.

Guys, thank you so much! I am still considering but you have helped narrow it down a bit. I'm most likely going single stage and I like a short, crisp reset... but I'm also budget minded :)

Any arguments for or against your choices?

I'm in the same boat. Wanting to keep the cost down I'm going with the ALG ACT trigger. You could get the QMS as well which is the same as the ACT, just doesn't have the nickel coating on some of the parts. Research them and you'll see they are highly reviewed. ALG was started by Geissele's wife.

I have to agree that if you have a budget.. the ALG reworked by Geissele is the way to go. You get a smooth trigger with a clean crisp break. It will still have the weight of a standard milspec trigger but will be very nice. As for the rock river 2 stage.. I will never buy one again. Gritty, gritty, gritty! I dont know what the allure of the rock river is. I have never felt one that was worth the money. They have a long reset and are worse than some of the triggers I have gotten in cheap LPKs. This trigger is smooth, single stage with a clean crisp break:

As for the NiB trigger... I will have to try those. I have several NiB bolts and they are super slick. I can definitely see how that would remove some of the pull resistance and grittiness of a trigger. I can not discount nor promote it till I try it.

The only appeal of the RRA trigger is price. Not only do they creep, they wear out and loose their 2nd stage. With the availability of ALG triggers or better yet, the Geissele G2S, there's no excuse for buying an RRA. If price is really the issue, stick $10 in your sock drawer every week for a month or two and buy a better trigger.

Timney 3.5 and jp adjustable . Both are great. For me thats all ill ever use. U can spend the money upfront or spend it down the road.
