I was able to break away and so a quick trip (150 miles) yesterday, in order to get to know my new to me bike a little better. There is a few things that I will be addressing, but nothing that a little cash can't solve! I am looking forward to doing a trip up into the mountains hopefully within the next month or two (working two jobs kills my free time), but until then I will just have to enjoy our time together during the commute.

Looks like I will be going on my first motorcycle camp in about 20 years. My buddy and I plan to go to 2 wheels of Suches next weekend. Anyone else here happen to be camping?

Haven't been there since the new owners reopened it. Used to be named "Two wheels only" and closed in 2009 or 2010. It was kinda run down last time we were there. I heard they have made improvements now. Let us know how it is now. :thumb:

Two Wheels of Suches has made some very nice and big improvements. The new owner is a local and a rider, and has done a great job of upgrading the facilities and adding some nice touches.

The food is good, decently priced (and you get a decent amount of food) and served quickly and with a smile. It's not Wendys pricing, but to keep a good business in operation, I'll eat there every time I'm in the area. The new cabins are very nice and the facilities are clean and useful. I have stayed in the lodge a few times and like just walking upstairs after a night of hanging out with friends. Parking lot is paved, there's a large field across the creek that you can park cars/trailers, and plenty of camping even if you aren't on a bike. I know on Friday night, there were quite a few locals in having dinner, so it was good to see the place crowded and people enjoying themselves and have a good time.

BTW anyone headed to the Suches area, the gas station is out of gas (not a supply issue) and might be for a while so don't plan to fill up while you are there. The closest is back in Dahlonega or head across 180 and turn left onto 129 and go about a mile or two, little store on the left with ethanol free gas.
