So who all rides motorcycles?????

Thinking about getting a 2007 Honda ST-1300.
39000 miles.
Dropped once at low speed, front left turn signal broken off,
other tupperware scratched.
Runs great. Took it for a 30 minute test ride a few weeks ago, and the seller just lowered the price (again).
Are there any special quirks about this bike to watch out for?
Any flaws or "gotchas" it's known to have?
PS: Upgrading from my 1996 Honda Shadow 1100 for the sake of smoother, quieter, less-vibratory cruising on the highways for hours at 90 mph. And to have a longer range between fill-ups.
And just to have a bike that's 11 years younger, for better peace of mind when traveling far from home and far from help.
I’ve referred/carried Family & Friends to WOW Motorcycles in Marietta to see what fits. After you find what you want, you can call’em up the next day and ask if they’ll rent the ……… out to you for a few hours. Don’t ask to rent one while you’re there looking through. Idk why? Note: no sale, info gained.

Yes, skip the ST and get a FJR1300A with the six speed.

I've not seen a similarly good deal on a Yamaha FJR, compared to the value for the dollar I see on both the Honda ST 1300s and the Kawi Concours,
or for that matter the BMW RS series touring bikes.

Bought it / traded guns for it.
Now i've got to figure out how it works.
It did not come with an owners manual nor any shop or service manual, and both the guy who sold it to me and his father who had it before him never really used it. They got the bike from a mutual acquaintance that was desperate to sell, and both the father and the son tried this bike for one short ride only and decided they liked their other motorcycles better.

Does anybody on ODT have one of these? I'll buy you dinner if you can spend a half hour with me in the restaurant parking lot and show me how to check the fluids, show me what panels I need to loosen or takeoff to inspect the brakes or other wear parts, etc. Oh, and how to use the digital side of the dashboard --how to set the correct time, reset the trip meter...

YouTube can be a great friend of yours to learn a lot about that bike.
