Some news on the Octane 45 & 44 Magnum

Well maybe we can get hornady to make a zombie rnd for us. A 300+ grn bullet with 44spl case at 1000fps. Green tip of course.

I'll give it a try once I get my powder/primers/and such. see how heavy we can get to fit and stabilize.

Shoot forgot about stabilization. Wonder how the twist rate of the 77/44 will do against longer bullets we're talking about. Would hate to have a baffle strike

1:20 is a pretty tight twist. At least in relative terms. It's even fairly tight in the 77/357, I think Ruger knew that shooters would shoot heavy/hot loads with these rifles.

I have lots of time to figure it out, waiting on the octane to transfer to QRF anyways

I think those were the old deerfield 44 carbines, but some of the very old 44 rifles they had were not as fast.
