Some observations on the SIG Cross, without a range report

yeah it's cool and all, till that price...
I've shot 4 of the Q The Fix rifles. Two shot well enough that I'd pay the price in a heartbeat. Another shot OK, but not well enough to justify the price. The fourth was an inaccurate turd.

The rip-off of the Cross that was rushed out the door and isn't all that good because KB and team couldn't figure out how to execute. At least it has pretty cerakote
Bought a SIG Cross in .308 today.
There’s a few things in the owner’s manual that I want, that aren’t available yet. One is a tool, similar to a Geissele reaction rod, for removing and reinstalling the barrel. The other is a replacement scope rail that has the bottom half of the rings built into it. On that one, I’d like to see the quality, height, and whether it is canted before I made a decision on it.

I have 6.5 and accuracy is excellent, started out under 1” with 130-131 grain grind hard ammo and s&b soft point, now over 100 rounds and accuracy with 140-143 hornady eld with warm barrel 6 shot group 1” running PA 3-18x50 scope. I’m no precision shooter either. Also this barrel has not been cleaned since new.

I saw a q and a cross at a LGS. Q was $3800 and the cross $1600. Trying to figure out the difference between the two…lol. Definitely a cool concept for either rifle.
