Soviets preparing for WWIII?

put another Reagan in office and...
1. Revamp Defense spending
2.take advantage of OUR energy resources ie..( Alaska, Keystone pipeline, ect..)
3. Develope and use energy sources that make us less dependent on petroleum based energy sources ( Current fission reactors, working fusion reactors, hydrogen powered vehicles, ect.. )
If we could accomplish those things in 10-20 years Russia would be bankrupt and the Middle East would be no different than sub-Saharan Africa, nobody cares what tribe is in charge or what human rights violations you have because there is nothing of value there anymore.

Spend on new development and deployment to at least match but better yet exceed what Russia is doing. Sure it will take them a few years to match our current tech, but we shouldn't let them. How long has our current main battle tank been in service? Current service rifle? Stuff that hasn't seen a brand new design in some cases over 50 years.
We already spend Way too much. I think instead of spending more on defense, we should stop poking the bear. They don't want us destroyed, they just don't want us messing with them. We already spend about 8 times as much as Russia on defense, not including black budgets. When is enough enough?
We weren't 17 TRILLION DOLLARS in the hole with a gutted.... er, I mean "post-industrial" economy in 1980.
Now I feel silly, of all people I should have known that BBC stands for VVS.
In my defense, I've never seen it spelled out like that on any Soviet or Russian military aircraft, and I've seen a few (short range bombers, interceptors, fighters, both Navy and VVS).
Just the red stars, or Russian emblem later on.
