Call and talk to the court. If I remember correctly, they don't even have a prosecutor, they fee it out to a local lawyer. You can ask for Defensive Driving class if you haven't had it recently and they will usually work something out with you. I wouldn't call a lawyer until I called and talked to someone from the County (or city if you were in one).

I agree, call the court and ask if you can take a class. If you can, they're online, and you'll pay court costs on top of the 25 bucks or so but you won't get any points on your license.

I was using Google Maps and it told me speed trap was ahead. I was about fourth in the pack so I was very surprised about it. I appreciate the input and plan on calling the probate Court tomorrow to ask about it. I was speeding, so I am fine with paying my dues.

That might be enough to get your insurance cancelled depending on your situation. I would pay any reasonable amount to get that pled down to 14 over.

Have heard from a family member that over 15 is the cut off. Judges frown on less because not worth the time. He also said the same. Why pull over someone for 10 over when you can wait 10 minutes and get much more.

In my older years, and a clean record, don't take it off cruise control at 10 over. Has worked for me until I posted it here. Maybe bad juju.

Agree with the talk to the solicitor, they will take the path of least resistance whitch is to drop it down and get the money.

Make sure if it gets reduced that it doesn't get reported to your mvr. I see that all the time. Client gets a speeding ticket, judge/solicitor reduces it, but the violation shows up on their report.

I paid a lawyer a few months back this year for a super speeder. I think the total, fines and everything was right at $1200 but none of it goes on my record. I can give you the name if you want.

That’s my suggestion too. I would just call @Laxguy59 anf have him take care of it.
