It seems very convenient, but I thought you weren't supposed to get any lube on the shoulders of the cartridge or it could cause dimpling. Is there something so obvious that it's not getting stated, like wipe off the shoulders, or ???

I've been using this stuff on shouldered cartridges for years with no problem whatsoever .... no dimpling or deformation .... nada.

I use it on .308, .223, 300 ultra mag and 30-06

You don't want it swimming in it ... That's why the spray on stuff is so cool .... you spray just a little, let it dry and compared to other lubes that I've used (I use the frankford arsenal brand) it makes sizing 308's as painless as sizing 38 special .... it's almost miraculous

One important thing though .... it is important to clean any crud from other/old lubes out before you start using it ...

Not sure if this is a good idea, but I spray about 1/3 of my .223 cases with regular old rem oil...then about every third or fourth case I size, I size a lubed one. I turn the lubed ones upside down in a tray and just do a quick spray. The excess from the lubed ones keeps the next few cases going smooth.

Your uncertainty is correct, it ain't a good idea to use oil for case lube. A tub of this will last the average Joe for years.

I've never had a dent or suffered a stuck case using it. It's only $4.00.

really need to try the hornady stuff one of these years when my tiny tube of Imperial wax runs out......which could be a while given how long it has lasted..

you wouldn't think a 2oz can of this stuff lasts but it certainly has for me over the years

I don't care for the spray stuff at personally.... wasteful and not as effective

use the rigth stuff to lube your cases or eventually you Will stick one

When I read about the Hornady, I thought it sounded like shoe polish. Then I got to the part where it says you can use it on shoes too. :) I use neutral shoe polish for release agent.
