I bought a gun at a gun show from a pawn shop table. Great gun with a great price so I couldn't pass it up...
My question is: Do all pawn shops have to run the gun they take in through the police data base to make sure they are not stolen?
If not, do I need to contact the police to ask them to run it. I would hate to be in possession of a stolen gun.
Thanks,
Alan

yes to both... but the receipt was on the generic yellow receipt paper with receipt written on the top with the price and just the serial number writen on it......

Enjoy your new firearm. If for ANY reason it were to be discovered as stolen you are golden, and the Pawn shop is on the hook. They are suppose to have them all checked. (Or so is the practice here)
