I despise a damn thief. I was robbed once and had a safe 2 days later. Always thought I'd take care of a thief myself but didn't consider not being home. Hope you recover your firearms. Kinda sounds like someone knew what was there.

No doubt they did. Package theft has been very popular this holiday season. Common sense to assume that someone ordering a gun-related item would have guns in the house, and guns are big money.

But that's the case for anything. Order a PS4 game and one can assume the resident owns the console, at least one nice television, and other games/accessories.

Yep I know should have had a safe. Of course you know how it is, I have been watching for used ones on Craigslist and watching the sales prices during this season. Just did not get it in time or prioritize it right. Prior to the box missing the hood had been fairly quiet. The missing box could be the way it happened. It could have been taken from my porch or it could have been delivered to the wrong address and traced back to my house. Probably will never know.

As to the amount of stuff, you know you buy one thing at a time and do not realize the pile size until your standing there listing it to the cops. Was just some stuff in the closet. Only one gun the 6920 was really a truly nice gun. The rest was lower quality none interesting stuff. The Glock was just bought last week.

I am not even sure what aggravates me the most. Was it just teens that scored that well, the random package problem, The f'n hole in the back of my house that is nailed shut with scrap board. What aggravating news I will get when I call the house insurance tomorrow and see what claim can be done, that my gun will be used to shoot someone else. I have to throw what they didn't take in the trunk of my car and take it with me in case they come back.

No reason to get anything now. The house would have to considered marked now. Even adding a safe or camera system does not get me very far from this situation. Seems more like make the insurance claim get whatever check I can get, pack up and move. I always looked at that rear porch door with the big window and knew that would be an easy way in. It is not in my mind that anything will be recovered. Do not know how likely that situation is.

A akula at the end of the day, man as much as it really sucks, it's just stuff, I all can be replaced!

Just be glad no one in your family got hurt...but I do wish you only lost the gun you emptied a magazine in those thief bastards with!

Daggum they even took the cleaning kit! Go let the people at the AO range know what all was taken. I tried to shoot there today and there were some questionable characters there shooting.
