You can probably fix the table....hardwood dowel of the same size, with some careful refinishing is worth a shot.

some dang funny comments here. I especially liked the one about carpenter bees! good thing is 7/64 is such a teensy hole it really doesn't stand out from other blemishes on said table. we've had it through both kids since they were born and its seen its share of bumps and scratches. I think I'll hit it with a little "crayola Brown" and finish it off with some Pledge. BAM, problem solved. If she ever notices, the kids did it

and as for the .357 AD...I cant imagine how freakin loud that was inside with no hearing protection. last time I shot a snake outside it happened to be with my ruger 357 and my ear rang for 2 days!
