Getting ready to take the plunge into suppressor town and had a couple questions.

I'm going to try and go ahead and get three suppressors to cover just about every caliber. I'm looking at SWR suppressors, specifically the Spectre II, the Octane 45 HD, and the Specwar 7.62

Here are my questions:

Are these decent suppressors?

Will the Octane .45 work with .357 sig or 10mm? It lists 9mm, .40, .45, and 300 Blackout

Will the specwar work with .223/5.56/5.45? It only shows 7.62 and .30 magnum

Would the specwar 5.56 model work with 5.45 as well?

Would the specwar 5.56 model work with 5.45 as well? Yes but most 5.45 is corrosive, not really a good idea

corrosive can be cleaned with dish soap and hot water.
300 blk would be better suited to the 30cal can you want not the .45 can.

Basically a can will work with anything its rated to and lesser calibers. Instead of the .556 can, a dedicated 22lr can would be better.

So to sum it up, 30cal rifle can, 45 cal pistol can, and 22lr can will cover 95% of all needs.

You shouldn't have any issue finding whatever pistons you need for the octane 45, they take normal osprey pistons now, which are plentiful. I think you'll find out real quick that 9mm and 45 will be the only ones you care to suppress as they will be the quietest. Pistols with supersonic ammo are kinda pointless to me.

The specwar 762 will be awesome when it comes out. I'd use it on the 300blk as it will be quieter and you can shoot supers through it too.

3 great cans you're looking at. Should cover everything you'd want.

having fired non-corrosive for the last 10 years, I recently bought a M95 firing 8x56R. I bought a short ton of corrosive WWII era ammo with it.
I will say it was a tad off throwing the barrel assy into the tub again.

Hot water and Dawn
I run a bore brush through it while in the soap solution to help break it all down.

Oh, and +1 on keeping things sub-sonic

I really don't shoot 10mm, .40, or .357 sig, was just curious as to why they weren't listed.

Taking a plunge on all 3 at same time? Might as well! Write that huge check!

Yes it covers 357 and 10mm they even meter it for it. 357 uses same threading as 9mm, 10mm same as 40.

Specwar will cover the sub calibers, yes 5.56 will work with 5.45.
