Talk me out of a Shield .45

It's a little more than the nine but very manageable in my opinion. Just hold it with a firm grip and its fine

Sounds like the difference between my .308 and 35 Whelen. Hold on tight when you pull the trigger on the Whelen.

Actually the shield 45 is not that great of a gun. The shield 45 performance center is the way to go!

Had a ported 23C. I will pass.

Finally handled one the other day. It felt like it was made for me. I already have a Shield 9 for CC. The price is the siren song. Who has one? Pros/Cons. I would use it for CC occasionally and OWB carry when appropriate.

I don't do .45 (not man enough) but this one intrigued me... (and GREAT ODT'r) NO I don't get commission.

Not a fan of the full size M&P line. Now a 45c could be a possibility.

I had the .40 and the recoil was horrible. But my hands were too big for it so that may be part of the reason.

Big ol' .45 is for big ol' guns, IMO.

I looked at the Shield and decided I wanted more capacity. They do feel nice, though, and should make a good carry option.

Maybe I can talk you out of it and maybe not, but I would take a look at the XD45 mod 2 sub compact. Very accurate and reliable, good capacity, very concealable, minimum recoil, decent trigger, sights, fantastic grips, etc. And they are fairly priced. At least take a look at one. You owe it to yourself, big guy.

I have the 9 and now the 45. Won't be toting the 9 much anymore....
