Teen Driver

My youngest waited til he was 18 to get his license.I asked him why and he said, heck you carry me every where I need to go.

That's what I'm saying. I even offered to buy him one of those 49cc scooters. I guess I shouldn't have spent the last 16 years making fun of scooters in front of him.

They can and do. If a licenced driver is living in your house you need to have them listed on your policy. If you don't want them covered you have to sign an affidavit saying they won't drive your car. If they do and the wreck it, they aren't covered.

Wow, I didn't know that. Mine starts driving in less than 3 years.

I helped my kids, my parents helped me and their parent's probably helped them.
I think that's the way it's supposed to go.
With kids it's in for the penny in for the pound....

You're definitely in it for the long run, lol.

You can protect your auto insurance by giving your teen his/her own car with insurance. Do not put your teen on the family policy and do not list your teen as a driver on either your or your wife's car.
