I used to travel alone all the time before I was married. You can travel light and quick. Plus, you can do whatever you want to do without regard for what anyone else wants to do. If youre going for hedonism, go alone.

Where did you go and how was it ?

I went to Costa Rica and went to a Surf Camp for my 50th Birthday (11 years ago). I had a great time. I was the oldest person but it didn't matter. I went back a few time for Dental work. Saved a lot of money and got a vacation. My wife said no more, she said I was having to much fun and I probably was.
I think it depends on you, where you go and why.

Yes, went bone fishing by myself on Andros Island Bahamas for 7 days. It was absolutely awesome.

I am on vacation by myself right now and loving it. The wife and kid went to the beach. So I have the house to myself and can do whatever I want when I get home from work. It is awesome
