The Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994...a.k.a. the AWB...(Assault Weapons Ban)....was both passed and signed into law on September 13th, 1994. At the time of it's signing the House, Senate and Oval Office were all controlled by the Democrats. Shorty after its signing the Democrats lost control of both the House and the Senate, and control was regained by the Republicans effective January 1995 from landslide victories in both House and Senate from the November 8th, 1994 mid term election.

Right now......the Senate and the Oval Office are both controlled by the Democrats, with the House of Representatives being controlled by the Republicans. Unless something changes in the House. all these so called A/R ban legislations flying around will "die" in the House. Believing in the Constitution and the Rule of Law, this nonsense will soon pass. Being America, the land of opportunity and Capitalism, this frenzy is paying off big time for our seller's and trader's. It's the way America works. Again....this nonsense will also pass.

After the GOP took such a "White Washing" at the polls, it will be almost impossible if completely impossible to come together and pass such crazy laws. Just look at the "Fiscal Cliff" fiasco. We are going over for sure. No one is going to give in. Let's just hope nothing changes in the next 4 years that will effect a swing in the House of Representatives.

So NOW is the time to ACT!! The great state of Georgia has two Senate Seats both held by Republicans. It is time to communicate to both of them your concerns right now and your concerns for the future of this country and preservation of the 2nd Ammendment.

Saxby Chambliss (R)

John Hardy Isakson (R)

There are 14 US House of Representative Seats held by Georgia Representatives. 9 Republican seats and 5 Democrat seats. It's time to communicate not only to your Representative if he is listed, but to ALL 9. Again, time to communicate your concerns right now and your concerns for the future of this country and the preservation of the 2nd Ammendment!

Please take the time to write to your elected representatives. Have your family and friends do the same. If you have children have them do it also. It drives the impact of concern, plus it's is a great teaching lesson for our children. The Government Schools will never encourage or even suggest that a child write his or her Senator or Congressman. We need to do this!!

Excellent info. Hopefully, this will get people to voice their concerns about the upcoming bill. If that lunatic in Cali gets her way, their won't be anything left.

There really is no reason for all members here not to contact their Senators, Reps, and Governors. Its is easy, free, and takes no time at all.
Thanks for the links.

See...the sad thing is a lot of the members here really don't care about whats going on in the country....they just want to try to sell their 60.00 pmags and 1500.00 AK's.........I write my elected officials all the time. I would like to think that I help try to make a difference.......again, this is all about age, maturity, and a perspective on life.

I have sent one to Gingrey already, thanks for the info you just provided I will send 2 more letters. Also I am incouraging friends and family to write their respective representatives. Also free bump for a great thread.

You could add the democrats information to the first post. Their the ones that need to hear from people like us the most. State Sen. Vincent Fort, a Democrat for example needs to hear from as many gun enthusiats as he can.

We just need to light a fire under their ass.

It's like a nightmare where we are screaming as loud as we can but nobody can hear us. If they can't hear our voices will they hear our firearms? Will we have to use our guns to keep our guns? If freedom is at stake in America, and it mot certainly IS, will we fight for it as the people who secured the blessings of liberty for us did? Or will we meekly "sell back" our last hope for freedom for a government gift card?

Write your official. Call his office. Send letters to everyone you can think of. Network with others and support the organizations that are trying to hold back the grabbers.
