Got roped into a bottle of the 115 by a heavy busted gal at the local dispensary. The thimble sized sample she so graciously obliged was as tasty as those tahtahs appeared to be. I'll crack the seal and report once my jaw returns to it's natural position.
Finally cracked the seal on this one. I'll say that it takes more than just a few minutes and a few drops of water to make it presentable. The staves are really present with burnt oak notes. Final thoughts...a bourbon that's been rushed into maturity via staves without the smoothness of a well aged whiskey. I'll finish this bottle but it'll take a while. Enjoy at your own risk.

Tasting our way through the son-in-law’s bourbon collection today.
Some Eagle Rare, High West Campfire, Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen, couple others.

I splurged awhile ago on the Widow Jane 13 and haven't opened it yet...please report back if you open that one!

Not good on identifying particular flavors, but as far as smoothness and drinkability, we liked it this much….
(wives were not super happy)

favorite of the day, couldn’t get him to crack open the Blanton’s.

But today is a new day…. he’s grilling dinner... maybe by the time we finish the Eagle Rare…
