The retail market is broken...Classic Firearms selling Czech K98s for upwards of $1299.99!

I have a Garand and that's my only warhorse unfortunately.. But its a good one to have.. I will pick up a Springfield 1903 the next time I see one and have cash pigeonholed..

Yeah I would like to have a 1903 myself...Or an Enfield. I may look into those sometime this year.

I picked up a yugo scrub k98 the other day for 275. Cleaned it up, it is plenty nice enough for me. Nothing really is matching, but it is a good looking laminate stock with the latter cup butt stock. Other than the scrubbed areas the blueing is fantastic. The bore even looks better than my m48. Action is better to. There is no way I would give 7 or 8 hundred for what it's effectively the same thing to me? I would rather spend money like that on another garand or 1903

Classic's asking prices never cease to amaze me. Even more amazing is that they are apparently getting them...

Or maybe they are pulling them from inventory after a day or two, only to repeat the same sale a year from now with even higher prices? That actually would make some sense, so long as they liquidate a portion of their inventory each time they do this.

Their vids are terrible. Filmed with an iphone and edited in about 15 mins. LOL.

Hey I will give them credit in that the cracked m39 I got the other day from them, good price and the crack is not a big deal at all. But then again I may have just got lucky. Also I got a k31 on that last deal from them that was mint, but two of my buddies didn't fare as well. If the price is low enough it seems like it can be worth the gamble, but this k98 deal isn't remotely a low enough price even in today's market. You can get better deals on dare I say it...gun broker. And there you know the exact rifle you are getting too
