I love the 5.45. Poor man's 5.56. I was looking for a 5.45 AK for a while. Nothing but $400 CAI Tantals which are known to keyhole, even on some of the supposedly 'fixed' models, and $1,000 Arsenals. I passed and scored am M70 locally for a pretty good price. Bought a ton of 7.62 and called it a day.

Fair enough. There are some clear design differences, but the similarities are pretty evident as well.
