Having a problem getting it sighted with lead 240 gr hollow point bullets. Can't figure out the powder load. Shooting Hodgdon triple seven 90 grains.

What makes you think the powder charge is why you can’t sight it in?

Try what it was designed for. A 370gr maxi-ball.. my Tc hawken will shoot right around 2" at 100yds using them. 90-110 gr. of pyrodex rifle. Tons of deer killed with it in 50 cal. Do you really need a 50 cal to expand......no
