Thoughts on Marriage.

19 years, 2 kids…still together… still not married… I can’t tell a difference between married folks and not married folks these days. Common law marriage doesn’t exist anymore. Are we doing it right or doing it wrong? Marriage lets the gumbment get involved and all their little crony lawyers that says who gets what.
At one point in time some cultures the couple jumped over a broom and the man carried his woman across the threshold.
This is none of my business but I am going to just present an option or question if you will. Is it just your lady friend doesn't want to get married or, does she love you so much that she feels like you will leave her if she brings it up. If you truly love her then ask her how she feels abour it. Be sincere but didn't push it. Just see her real thoughts on the idea.
On a different note aren't you considered common law after so long of being together. At least take her on a honeymoon and do something really special. Sounds like she's a wonderful woman to have been by your side all this time. She's probably deserves it!
Common law went away in the late 90’s I believe. We looked into it lol. She’s great! Amazing woman and mother and “wife” and I treat her as such. We just simply both have the same views on the subject, not saying we don’t believe in “marriage” but both agreeing we don’t need a biding contract to fulfill our lives together.
Never got married. Had some great girlfriends,Got the best one now 14 years and counting
We will never understand women. Just know they are wired different. What's important to them is completely different than us. Modern times have made it that much worse......

I am not but for today's women or society. After my very first real girl friend ripped my heart out I never loved again. Didn't love my two wife's and married them. Didn't cry at my father's or mothers funeral. I love my two son's and my sisters family unconditionally. I stayed with my second wife for 20 years just to make sure my two sons had a father while they were growing up but when we divorced I didn't shed a tear over that either. Even over the fact I was leaving my two sons behind. My childhood scarred me for life. An overbearing and abusive mother just turned me into a stone. The first girl friend sealed my fate. Sad but true..
I've never heard such a sad group of beta males in my life, letting women push them around and break their tender little hearts. Good Lord men, get a hold of yourselves and have some self respect. If you can't tame your women you only have your self to blame for being a wimp.
