I could be like the guy that holds up a sign that says "I hate signs.", and thumbs down this thread. I like irony.

I just don't see why we need another way to cause division. If I see someone post something asinine, I just move on. This is my opinion, but giving someone a thumbs down on the internet is pointless. Just like arguing on the internet, it's a waste of time and effort. Why not just let it be what it is and ignore the people whom you deem intellectually challenged? The way I see it is if you wouldn't walk up to a random person on the street and give them a "thumbs down" because they say or do something you don't agree with, why do it here? This is for keyboard warriors. Again, my opinion.
