Finally went to doc and she nailed it on her diagnosis. Sent me home with a three week antibiotic treatment and sent off blood work for testing. Test came back confirming it was Rocky Mountain...
Wouldn't wish that on anybody.
Afterwards my cousin told me his young son had gotten Rocky Mountain also a few years ago, but had been misdiagnosed for months. Initial doctor outright refused to test for Rocky Mountain, saying it was next to impossible to have gotten it here in Georgia...
