Training Before Obtaining Carry Permit?

While I don't agree with him isn't this a little harsh?
What happened to the Christmas spirit?

No.

So, what? We should give the 2nd amendment away as a Christmas gift?

There is a war on the American people. Not the liberal pieces of **** who would happily abdicate control to a mighty government that will care for s from the cradle to the grave owning us lock, stock and barrel along the way. I's not a war of tanks and bombs, it's a guerilla war of incremental theft of liberties and the battle cries are "for the children" and "Public safety" and "reasonable safeguards". And it's being fought by traitors and facilitated by cowards.

There can be NO compromise with this enemy because the enemy advances incrementally and NEVER stops advancing. They are the epitome of the old "give them an inch and they will take a mile". Every time we compromise with them they IMMEDIATELY start demanding more.

And to OFFER concessions is just STUPID.

And THIS particular issue springs purely from cowardice. When you see another man armed if it makes you cringe, you are a coward, not a patriot. if, through your own cowardice, you conspire with traitors then, NO, I'm not being harsh, you ARE a traitor. History does not look back at Benedict Arnold as simply a man with legitimate concerns who hose to side with the forces of tyranny and oppression. History views him as a traitor. And quite correctly too. How will history view YOU?

By the way, if these people had been around in 1775, the Revolutionary War would have been fought with sticks against British GUNSand we'd all be drinking tea at in the afternoon.

Merry ****ing Christmas.

No, but I have found that explanation and teaching of what and why the 2nd is there, works much better than angry rhetoric. There is a time for that, but not to our own, that would likely understand if explained separately from the public school system and the media.
All people don't have the same background or training and love of all things 2a.
Love ya bro, but lighten up for Christmas. LOL

The way I read the 2A, there shouldn't be any carry permits in the first place, so there obviously shouldn't be any required training to get your government permission slip to carry.

As far as gun classes in high school go, I don't think something like that should be mandatory, but would be a really great elective course for the students that choose to take it.

Just as I don't want the government telling me that I CAN'T shoot my guns, I don't want them telling high school kids that they HAVE to shoot guns if they don't want to for whatever reason.

A favorite pet peeve of mine that is often mentioned on these boards. "I was at Walmart and saw this guy printing and my spidey senses went off and was watching my six." Lolwut?!?!?

I understand patronus' anger .
I'm just as ticked off at the traitors in Washington and they way they breather down our necks.
Heck...children these days know more about government than I ever did at their age....it's because government is everywhere, all the time.
This world needs more Patrick Henry's and less Barack Obamas.
This time of year is even more frustrating for many because of tax season and all the bills that are due.
And this tax season reminds us of Obamas socialist healthcare as it's embedded into our tax forms and could not piss me off more every time I think about it.
I have zero Christmas spirit this year given today's political climate all up in our faces and have not had time to enjoy or prepare for it nor do I really care .

It should be the parents, but as most are too lazy, the school should teach gun safety and 2A classes. Hell, they should already be teaching true constitutional law. But it's mostly bastardized.
But since most people don't even check into those whom they vote for in the school board elections, I doubt anything will change.

You too man. And I have zero problem with expecting people to be trained and knowledgeable. I have no problem with dialoguing and teaching. But ANYONE who can't understand that the ONLY criteria that must be met to be eligible to bear arms is American Citizenship has problems. Disbarment on an individual basis for mental incompetence, criminal tendencies or physical inability is an issue to be considered and remedies put in place. But blanket restrictions are treason based on the constitution. Period.

End of rant.

I've got a ham in the oven and trying to time the rest of the preparations to all hit the table together. I have to work tomorrow so Christmas is today.

I think its a good idea, When I took the course to get my Tennessee permit there were several who did not pass the shooting portion, one lady put the gun down once the shooting started and walked out saying "this isn't for me".
I don't feel comfortable with some of the goons carrying out there as it is.

So what if the government decided to make the training so hard that it caused you to walk out and say "this isn't for me"? What if the government decided to make training classes tough to attend, or high-priced, or just generally difficult?

Per the Constitution the government has no authority when it comes to 2A, and everything they are doing today is Unconstitutional.
