Way back when I was a teenager, I trapped Muskrat and did other water trapping. Look out if a Mink comes along and finds caught Rats.

there goes selling the hides .

I caught a Grey Fox, he was released unharmed.
Caught him on the same trail by my neighbors chicken pen where I caught the Red Fox posted above.

I opened the trap door he took off so fast and didn't even say Thanks for letting me go; heck I couldn't get my camera up quick enough for a parting shot

Fox Facts: - Grey Fox kill Red Fox, but Reds don't bother Greys
a Grey Fox can climb a tree, and a Red Fox can not.
Also the Coyote will kill and eat both

Set 6 traps yesterday evening. I caught 1 racoon out of 6 traps. 1 dog proof had no bait in it anymore and wasnt triggered, I suspect a fox, 1 box trap was empty of bait and the pressure plate was jammed somehow, I couldn't even trigger it with a stick. Cropped the trap out of the picture, don't want to give the anti trapping folks fuel.
