BTW I have a PSA I got a while back for $360. Have it in the spare tire well below the trunk carpeting in a folding chair bag inside a yoga mat (learned that rick here on ODT)

Go for it I had a buddy that ran a 6720 as a truck gun. If I was running an ar for a truck gun I'd prefer the light weight barrel

True. I was just trying to say find something cheap and maybe run the lightweight barrel. I'd rather buy a psa run a colt barrel and lose it rather than a whole 6720.

Atlantic Firearms has a Radical Arms 10.5" Barreled Upper for $169, PSA has a Bolt Carrier + Charging Handle for $89.00 Free Shipping, PSA has a complete pistol lower for $129.00 Free Shipping. After shipping & Tax you have a 10.5 AR Pistol for $417. Not a bad truck gun and cheaper than a Glock.

That barreled upper is in 7.62x39, unless there is another one in 5.56 that I am not seeing. a 10.5 inch pistol would be great, except they seem to run more than a rifle.

I carry mine in a plastic bin with my bob, behind the passenger seat and just cover it up with a mechanic's rag. Of course, with the bcg/ch and ammo. For around $500, 10.5" 300 BLK with a PSA magpul lower. I pieced together the upper. I had it listed here but decided it was worth more to keep rather than to sell.

I had the Ruger AR556 and now wish that I hadn't sold it. It would make an excellent carbine truck gun.

Ruger. Solid, basic, well made ARs with a lifetime warranty for when it bumps around in the back too much.

Personally I'd go pistol with a brace. 10.5ish barrel would be a lot more manageable in vehicle

I would buy a Ruger or Smith. No reason to trust a PSA or radical if the larger names are cheap right now.
