Trying to settle a gun debate between me and my girlfriends father!

So he wants to but her a new Carey gun, and she shoot my glock 19 all the time and loves it. But he is set on buying a revolver, he goes on about gun safety and control. But I say it's all about the person holding the weapon!!!!

So what do you say? Glock 26 or hammerless 38 revolver?

You're young. I hope you remember this when you have a daughter and her boyfriend offers his 'years of life experience and 15 minutes with your daughter' as the basis for an 'opinion'.

This is none of your damn business. And I say that as politely as I can. If you marry her, you'll be entitled to an opinion, but that STILL won't trump Daddy's. And if you think it will, you'll have another life lesson coming.

In case it's not clear, the father is correct. The specifics don't matter, he's right. You are a flash in the pan until you PROVE otherwise.

my girlfriend carries the shield 9 w/o thumb safety and loves it. I carry that and the 26 depending on how i feel that day or the area I'm going too.

As a "boyfriend" your opinion matters not in the least.

Don't argue with your girlfriend's father about ****. When or if she becomes your wife, your opinion will matter.

On some things I would agree. Not an ultimatum though....

Like say he wanted her to carry a blunderbuss..Yeah ok Dad wins that one....
