Glock will change out "their" nite sights for free. They will not exchange other brands for free.

Do they have to be dead or just really dim before they'll change them out. My Glock night sights are past effective.

I'm pretty sure mine are older than 15yo. I bought some gen2 g22 and g23 trade-ins about 7-8 years ago. They were dim when I got them.

Is there somewhere you can run the serial #'s to get the mfg date?

This. Probably the best way to get the answer to this. When I had them put on mine I thought I remembered them saying if they went dead before the warranty went up that they would replace them for free.
